THIRD INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION

“MAKSA POPOV”

FOR TAMBURA, MANDOLINA AND TAMBURITZA ORCHESTRAS

PANČEVO, MARCH 20th 2022.

PROPOSITIONS

  1. The second “Maksa Popov” International music competition for tambura, mandolin and tamburitza orchestras is organized by Music school “Jovan Bandur” in Pančevo, March, 20th 2022.
  2. The Competition is for musicians 19 years old and younger from Serbia and other countries.  The participant does not have to be a student of the music school.
  3. The competitors will be divided into six categories for soloists and two categories for orchestras, by the age of the players, and will perform a program consisting:

at least two pieces, with piano accompaniment, one of pieces has to be traditional

up to 7 minutes
IV 15 years old  and younger

at least two pieces, with piano accompaniment, one of pieces has to be traditional

up to 9 minutes
V 17 years old  and younger

at least two pieces, with piano accompaniment, one of pieces has to be traditional

up to 10 minutes
VI 19 years old  and younger

at least two pieces, with piano accompaniment, one of pieces has to be traditional

up to 15 minutes

THE PROGRAMME HAS TO BE PERFORMED BY HEART

Applications will not be accepted after March, 3rd, 2022.

4. The Application has to be sent to e-mail address: jbandur.takmicenje@gmail.com

5. Apart from the application form, the competitors must also submit:

– Scanned birth certificate *for orchestras: birth certificates for each player

– Scanned proof of the paid fee in the amount of 3000 dinars for soloists, and 3500 for orchestras

6. If a competitor decides to cancel the application, the fee will not be refunded.

7. Competitors from abroad can pay their donation fee after arrival to Pančevo.

8. Competitors will be evaluated by the jury composed of professors of the candidates in the competition in their respective categories. The organizer will determine the president of the jury. Work in the jury is on voluntary base.

9. Members of the jury cannot evaluate their own pupil (candidate).

10. To competitors will be given diplomas

1st prize – 95-100 points

2nd prize – 85-94,99 points

3rd prize – – 75-84,99points

Commendation – for 60-74,99 points

11. The number of prizes is not limited.

12. For the most successful candidates and orchestras the jury can decide to give a title of COMPETITION LAUREATE

13. Teachers will be given diplomas for pedagogical results and contribution to work of the jury.

14. The competitors will pay all their expenses during their stay in Pančevo.

15. The organizer has the right to record, copy and broadcast the performance.

16. The Organizer disclaims all liability in the event of injury or any accident to participants, teachers and other persons found in the venue where the competition is being held, as well as in case of damage or theft of their property.
